Choice of Cuisines at Countesswells

With Deliveroo expanding its services to Countesswells, our residents are delighted they can now enjoy a variety of local and top brand takeaways in the comfort of their own home.

Takeaways can be the ideal evening treat; however, many will agree that heading along to your local café, restaurant or bar can be even more enjoyable.

Close to Countesswells there are a fantastic variety of cafés, bars and restaurants suitable for all cravings and occasions.


 
Figment Coffee

Enjoy some of the finest coffee in Aberdeenshire only a seven-minute drive from Countesswells. Sourcing its own coffee beans, Figment offers a relaxing space to meet and hang out with friends, get some work done in a peaceful environment and enjoy the fantastic selection of coffees available.

The menu was devised by previous MasterChef winner Jamie Scott, offering homemade breakfast, lunch and evening meals, alongside a range of delicious baked goods.

Countesswells' artisan coffee shop is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5pm and 8.30am to 5pm at weekends.

The Fourmile House

Located just five miles north of Countesswells is The Fourmile House, a firm favourite for many nearby residents. The Fourmile House serves traditional Scottish food in a family friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The Fourmile is also home to the popular Kingswells bar, the Smiddy which serves an impressive selection of beers, ales, fine wines and spirits, as well as delicious food. With new HD TV’s and large projector screens, you can also enjoy a variety of sporting events amongst a cosy traditional bar atmosphere.

The restaurant has a number of areas to host private functions and events, catering for all needs with a self-contained multimedia conference room. The area can accommodate up to 24 delegates in boardroom and 40 people theatre style, perfect for all corporate functions.

Travelling to the Fourmile House is made even easier, thanks to a free bus service running from the Countesswells development directly to the Four Mile House. The bus runs on Fridays and Saturdays, with pick up times taking place from 6pm to 9pm and drop offs after 9pm.

The Fourmile House is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 12am and Sunday from 9am to 10pm. 

Yan Oriental Restaurant

If you fancy some oriental cuisine, check out Yan Oriental Restaurant, Westhill’s much-loved Thai & Chinese restaurant. A nine-minute drive from Countesswells, Yan Oriental offers a unique dining experience in an authentic atmosphere.  

The menus have been designed to offer a wide selection of choices, using high quality ingredients and a great level of service. The restaurant also has an Oriental themed private function room, with seating for up to 30 guests, perfect for small parties and functions.

Yan Oriental is perfect for a Saturday night meal out, and with an extensive choice of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free dishes on offer, the restaurant caters for all dietary requirements.

Yan Oriental is open weekdays Monday to Fridays from 12.00pm to 10.30 pm and Weekends 12.00pm to 11.00pm. 


 
Cones and Candy

Summer might be over, but that doesn't meant trips to the ice cream parlour are over - and at Countesswells you are just a nine-minute drive from the colourful and luxury ice cream shop, Cones and Candy. Guaranteed to impress the kids, Cones and Candy offers 36 flavours of ice cream, as well as an assortment of sundaes, shakes, cakes and specialty teas and coffees.

With waffles to order, brunch served daily, and a pic ‘n’ mix section that offers 100 choices, Cones and Candy is a great place for a weekend treat.

Cones and Candy is open Monday to Thursday from 9am, to 5pm Friday 9am to 7pm and weekends from 10am to 7pm. 


 
Newton Dee Café

Nestled in Bieldside, a seven-minute drive down the road from Countesswells is the Newton Dee Café, a unique and delightful spot for lunch. The café is part of the Camphill Community, which offers homes, work and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities

The community centre also offers a mixture of other activities including a toy shop, craft workshop, health food shop and a bakery, as well as outdoor activities and farm animals.

The café is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pmam and 2pm to 4pm, serving a variety of fresh produce and delicious items from its bakery.
